i could hardly believe that Elaine is related to Keith. the same last name, both from northern ireland, and both in the family of God, duh. she had concealed her identity well. it was a joy to discover, though. a colorful streak in my day. 

today was a bit more productive overall. i spent quite a bit time reading Piper's book, read a few chapters of Job, listened to a couple of good sermons (by Carson and Piper), and finished grading student papers and entering their grades. i hope to begin working on my paper soon. soon. 

had a heartfelt conversation with YD over dinner. it was good all around and i think she'd agree. ran into LL on gchat; thankful she was willing to connect. 

thought i'd appreciate the virtual space to ponder and wander in the next few months, if not longer. the wintery background expresses my current state well. i hope as the season changes, it will change with it.
